Laboratory for Spatial Configurations
scLab–Laboratory for Spatial Configurations is a design-driven architectural studio engaged in abroad spectrum of projects. Every project is tailored to meet our clients’ specific needs, balancing functionality with creativity. Our team of architects and designers brings fresh perspectives, promoting experimentation and embracing new methodologies. With over 15 years of experience, our multidisciplinary team combines design, research, and spatial theory to push the boundaries of architectural thinking. We focus on the intersection of the built environment and intangible elements such
as culture, sound, memory, and atmosphere—elements that shape perception, behavior, and collective experience.
Design Philosophy
We believe architecture should be a dynamic, adaptive, and human-centered experience. Our work explores how space can respond meaningfully to human presence and social interaction. Through a combination of computational tools, spatial analysis, and material experimentation, we aim to make architecture emotionally, culturally, and socially resonant. At SC Lab, we value all forms of interaction—visible and invisible—and consider them essential to creating everyday environments that matter. We are committed to imagining and crafting spatial experiences that go beyond aesthetics to engage with deeper layers of human experience. At SC Lab, we are continuously rethinking how architecture shapes daily life. Through collaboration, technical excellence, and a commitment to innovation, we design spaces that evolve with their users and inspire new ways of living. Our collaborative approach involves close coordination with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and sustainability experts to ensure that design integrity is never compromised. We use advanced 3D modeling and BIM technologies to improve precision, efficiency, and communication across teams. By adhering to international standards and best practices, SC Lab consistently delivers projects that are both innovative and reliable. We design not just for the present but with a view toward future adaptability and sustainability.

Ideas of vertical urbanism have been in circulation for decades yet diluted with references to classical cities with vertical buildings. The Line is a call for a new way, a call for Elevated Urbanism in its purest form.
The LINE requires new urban formulation, one that is a step further than the classical idea of vertical urbanism, one that calls for the full elevation of the everyday.

Inspired by stalactites, the villa features a suspended roof embedded into the terrain, dramatically spanning cliffs and opening to the sea. Its vertical design includes hanging gardens that enhance the microclimate. A large overhang and cliff integration provide shaded, comfortable spaces in the arid climate. The villa creates a unique living experience, nestled into the land on one side and fully sculptural on the other, establishing a striking dialogue between architecture and natural context.
