The benefits of outdoor education have been underlined, notably by a recent study of the American Institute of Research: nature nur- tures the kids' imagination and uplifts their senses. While being healthy, learning outside is good for the brain; it contributes to improve the students emotional, intellectual and be- havioral development, as well as their sleep, and it reduces the stress. At Dwight International School, outdoor areas bring nature and playful experience from the groundfloor to the rooftop to develop their confidence and independence along with a better understanding of the environment. Creative and vegetable gardens, green hubs for chats and relaxation as well as sports courts, provide the kids with activities that comple- ment the skills they acquire in the classroom. Those features encourage the students to learn, imagine, discover and play.
